Clinical Supervision FOR DIETITIANS

What is supervision?

Supervision encompasses a space for clinicians to reflect on their work in order to do better - better in terms of development and understanding of: the client relationship, clinical skills, and own self reflection. Supervision is not one’s own therapy nor is it simple case consultation (although that is also important!). Supervision is ongoing reflective dialogue and skill building. Eating disorder treatment is challenging work, and even clinicians need support!

Courtney offers clinical supervision for fellow Registered Dietitian Nutritionists and other healthcare professionals. She is able to best support clinicians newer (5 years or less of experience) to working with eating disorders across the spectrum and body image concerns.

With 8 years of clinical eating disorder treatment experience, all while receiving her own individual and group supervision, Courtney is confident in her abilities to support other clinicians and their work.

She can wholeheartedly say that she would not be the clinician she is today without the mentorship and supervision she has received from well-versed and seasoned clinicians. She continues to receive regular supervision in both individual and group settings!

Most recently, in May 2024, Courtney completed the Supervision for Dietitians training with the incredible Fiona Sutherland and Lisa Pearl - trailblazers in the field of eating disorder treatment and supervision for dietitians
